Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day
On September 25, 2009 Governor Schwarzenegger signed AB 717 which established March 30th as: "Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day" and encourages public schools and educational institutions to observe that day by conducting exercises recognizing the contributions of all those involved in the Vietnam War and remembering the sacrifices they made for their country.
Although our nation was divided in its support of the Vietnam War, we must pledge to never forget the outstanding strength, service and sacrifice of those who fought to defend democracy, human dignity and the right to self determination.
